Today literally humanity is in a value crisis and defying the past and its set of laws in the name of civilization
“Open your arms to change, but don't let go of your values.” — This remark of Dalai Lama reflects today's world nature that in the whirlpool of change which is swiftly losing its values. It is quite an unbelievable thing a nomad has transformed amazingly into modern by chasing the time with great pace. No doubt, humankind achieved unparallel development but at the same time their values near to the ground.
Today literally humanity is in a value crisis and defying the past and its set of laws in the name of civilization. The humankind is now caught in the grip of competition and experiencing the laxity of values. All the changes and various revolutions like industrial, Blue, Green and White; made the man as fat in wealth but ethically lean. The people are craving for money and power and ready to harm others for their personal benefits. This is due to incapability of the transformational institutions such as home, society, and school in which disharmony is prevailing. The demon "Corruption" has become omnipresent in all areas and making the system to dance for its tunes.
When we have inner peace, we can be at peace with those around us. When our community is in a state of peace, it can share that peace with neighbouring communities."—This remark of Dalai Lama wishing that "Inner peace is the kingly way to the good society. But today in our country, we were experiencing all the social disorders. Besides that, the technology explosion has provided many platforms such as the internet and TV for the younger generations that can trap them and lose values. This pathetic state is promoting the disagreeable behaviour of the same and provoking them to commit more heinous crimes at their tender ages. To skip this situation the organisations of transformations like school, family, and society should have to strive collectively. Bur the parents of the family are not able to focus their attention on their wards because of their careers.
The other agency "society" had its own designs of death from various factors like religion, caste, creed, gender inequality, and corrupt politics and not able to shape the younger generations. In these circumstances to overcome this depression, the ultimate source is the school and the teacher only. The school and its components surely help the society in imparting the values that can make the future generations more reliable. There is a pressing need the schools and teachers have to shoulder the responsibility to realise the remark of Barack Obama "Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek".
To make the nation more strong and corrupt- free we need to bring the fifth revolution through the value of education. It is noticeable that all the new trends in education have brought tremendous change in the living standards of the people and made them more materialistic. The aim of education should not be only knowledge of facts but it should be with values. If we fail to impart values along with education then we will realise the remark of C.S.Lewis "Education without values, as useful as it is, seems rather make the man a clever devil"
